As part of the Make Time 2 Play campaign we commission play research, expert discussion and specialist advice on play.
We teamed up with presenter Georgia Jones who explores the benefits of physical play, the impact physical play has on mental wellbeing and tips for parents and carers on how to get their children more active
At Make Time 2 Play, we believe play is an essential part of growing up. Through play, children develop important life skills that help them thrive both physically and emotionally. Whether it’s running around outside, pretending to be superheroes, or creating their own artwork, each type of play brings something special to their development.
Physical play keeps kids active and healthy, while imaginative play helps them explore and express their feelings. Creative play allows children to unleash their imagination, and playing with others teaches them how to make friends, share, and communicate. Play also encourages curiosity, giving children the confidence to ask questions and explore the world around them.
Most importantly, play provides a safe space for children to take risks, learn boundaries, and grow. That’s why we are passionate about making sure every child has time to play!
